Unable to update PRL

I have encountered an unknown problem while trying to *228-2. The voice
prompt said that they were not able to program my phone. I use LG VX4400 and
am at home (Houston TX) now with full signal strength. I have rebooted the
phone but it did not help. I have firmware 10 and PRL 50175.

Same here in southwest Virginia: LG VX4400 with firmware 11 and PRL 50175.
Must be a widespread problem.

I just checked with CS and vzw online. All accounting systems (minutes,
balance, etc) are down. CS said that an upgrade was underway. Maybe it is
affecting some phones for PRL updates too.

Firmware 06 updated to 50183 with no problems.

Turned out to be vzw system upgrade. I did it later in the night and the
update worked.
