I need a basic phone for talking. Not interested in GIN, pictures,
etc. I have looked at LG VX3200 and Samsung SCH-a650, and the Nokia
3589i.

I like all these phones, and I'm having a difficult time choosing.

Any feedback from anyone who uses either any of these phones would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think the LG 3200 has an LCD display window on the outside of the
case-- so you can't see the caller ID before you decide if you're going to
answer the call. That would be a knockout factor for me.

While that is true and I prefer a phone with an outside display it
probably has an option to open the flip without answering the phone.
My LG VX 6000 has that option.

I have the Lg 3200 and like it. It doesn't have the outside display, which I
like, but you have the option of answering either with the flip or with the
send button. So far it's a nice phone.

One other thing, I just have to figure out how to upload some pictures to
it, I know I need the USB cable, but wondering if you have to have special
software.

I believe all 3 of these phones are tri-mode phones - apparently you have a
specific need for that ability. ??

If you like the idea of having a speakerphone and don't mind having to flip
open the phone to see who the caller is before you answer it, the VX3200
would be a great choice.

I have heard that the Nokia 3589 has about the best analog reception when
you're in a weak signal area. It is the older "brick style" phone. One
benefit of that style is that you don't have to open the clam shell to see
who's calling as you would w/ the LG3200 or the Samsung 650.

Get the 4500. Speakerphone and front display. I like it very much. Only
negative--no analog roaming.

Actually, there are three 3200 phone answer options...

1. Flip phone open
2. Send button
3. Hit any key
