Curious to know any comments, positive or negative, about this phone. Radio
Shack has it for 29.99 if I sign up.

It's a pretty nice phone. I've used one for about a year...no camera,
thank goodness, but a good basic phone, loud enough, with easy to use
phone features.

Mine is fine except that I hate the phone book. Wish I could sort
them into groups, but no dice, just a long, long list sorted by first
name. Yuuuck.

I echo this as well. Very happy with mine.

You can designate a primary number for each directory entry. Then only that
one appears in the list.

Yes, but it is still just one long list. I would prefer categories,
friend, family, business, hobbies, etc. One long list sorted by first
name is cumbersome.

I have to agree with you here. Although I love my 730 the abillity to group
numbers by catagory would be a major plus. My old Nokia (ATT) did that and
I could assign a group ringer to each catagory. Doing it one by one can be
tedious if you have a large address list.

My previous Samsung on VZW also allowed me to search the address book by
spelling the name one letter at a time. TI would bring up Tim, TO Tom,
etc. The 730 only takes the first letter. TI goes to the I's, etc.

Otherwise it's a great phone IMO.
