Does anyone know when Verizon is coming out with new phones? I am tired of
the same line up I see when I visit the Verizon Wireless website.

You think Verizon is bad? Cingular has got to have the WORST selection
of phones! I think they had only 5 or so in the store I was in this
past weekend with my wife (she still has a contract with them).

So be lucky Verizon has as many as they do!

Dude if you actually "wait" for new phones with this company you will be
sorely turned off. My guess there won't be a new phone for another few
months. While the competition comes out with new hardware all the time,
Verizon has so many rules and has to make sure functions are crippled so
it's customer's always spend more money just makes it take that much longer
to bring out new phones. I haven't heard really anything good about that
very expensive V710.

Hahahaha...that's called an "expected" release date. Slap on at least 2
months to that date.

Why does Verizon only offer 1 Nokia phone? I mean, if you offer Nokia
phones, then offer them. Offer the whole line. If not...

Yes, this is a terrible thing and it's obvious. Nokia is aware that the CDMA
market is small and also knows that Verizon is the only carrier to use this
technology. Nokia does not spend too much money on making CDMA phones for
this reason and know all the money is in the GSM market. If you go to
Nokia's website you'll see some of the most perfect cellular phones
available...only to be used on a GSM network. Nokia series 40 and series 60
phones are the best in the world, have the easiest menu systems and are the
most intuitive functions you'll never see on a phone. As soon as Verizon
gets a hold of the phone they usually slam a GET IT NOW button which could
be used for a much more important function. Anyway, the Nokia 3589i even
though it's large and has a low resolution screen is the only phone I would
allow myself to use. Entry level of course, but even Nokia's entry level
designs and menu's are much better then Moto's so called best.

Last time I checked, Sprint PCS was a CDMA network.

I agree that Nokia phones are usually very solid phones, but I wish that
they would quit trying to make them so "stylish" on the outside. The
3589i, for example, has a keypad that slants inward at the bottom with
smaller keys as you approach the bottom of the keypad, which makes it
more difficult to hit those keys when holding and operating the phone
with the same hand.

USCellular is moving to CDMA companywide and probably is already there in most
of not all of their markets, not just the Midwest

Want to make a bet they will be out by Thursday, since you are so sure? If
you are going to troll the newsgroup, at least know what you are talking
about.

I have a box of them sitting here, so you would lose the bet on the 9900.

the great equation of life, the universe, and everything:

How does the 6015 compare to the 3589 that everyone seems to like so much?
How much longer will 3589s be available?
