Difference Between America's Choice and Digital Choice plans

I'm having trouble selecting a plan for here in nyc. I'm going with the
lg vx4600 and am wondering what the difference is between the america's
choice and digital choice plans--the verizon site isn't very clear about
that. I believe this particular phone is digital only--so does this mean
go with digital choice? Help would be appreciated--thanks.

Thanks, but I still don't understand what digital choice is? What does
it offer that AC doesn't and vice versa, besides coverage area? Why
would anyone choose a plan that has a smaller coverage area? Thanks.

I believe the difference is in "included" coverage areas and AC is much
better.

The Digital Choice plans also incur long-distance charges at
$.20/minute, unlike America's Choice plans.

Digital Choice also has promotional versions that let you buy (for example)
1000 minutes each month for you to use ANYTIME you want so ... no
peak/night/weekend cut-off times.

The long distance charges you mention ... are speaking of calls from within
your home area to outside your home area or can long distance charges be
charged for calls originating and ending within your home area?

All of the Digital Choice plans advertised in my area include LD.

I think part of the reason for DC is that it is left over from older
times. AC is newer and forced by competition.
Hell try bothering the sales reps at vzw - its free ('cept for your
time).

If you will please provide a link to a web page documenting the
inclusion of LD, I will be most appreciative -- or provide your ZIP code
and I can find it myself. Thank you!

BTW, here is the language on Verizon's website re. LD and the DC plan:

"Domestic long distance is $0.20/minute from your Home Airtime Rate and
Coverage Area (airtime charges apply). Long distance charges may also
apply to calls received.

"Domestic roaming is $0.69/minute (includes domestic long distance
charges)."
