I will probably NE2 upgrade two phones (VX1 and VX4400) to either two 7000's
or two 8000's.

Can anyone answer the following questions on both/either models...

1) Will the phone with extended life OEM battery fit in the supplied
holster?

2) Will phone operate (ring, etc) while plugged into its supplied desktop
charger?

3) Can an external antenna remain connected while in the supplied desktop
charger?

These are all things I like about my 4400 and would like to keep, if
possible.

I understand that Wilson antenna adapter (I use a Wilson external antenna
and adapter) is now available for the 7000 but not yet for the 8000 (it is
listed as "in development"). Does anyone know when it might become
available?

Thanks,

-Frank

1. 8000 doesn't come with a holster but on the 7000, yes it will.
2. Neither have a desktop charger, they are the travel charger type that
just plug into the bottom of the phone.
3. See above.

Not sure on the 8000 connector, haven't even looked at it.

Thank you. One more question please... about the charger... is it possible
to charge a battery alone, without it being attached to the phone? Sounds
like no. Considering that the supplied charger is really a travel charger.
Yes? No? Are there optional accessories that would do this?

Thanks,

-Frank
