gave me an Dell Axim X5 with 32MB. I did installed ActiveSync, I just kind
of wonder what would be the best way to utilitize it the most
(software/hardware)? Any suggestions, comments will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Greg,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Pocket PC!

It really depends on what you are wanting to do. Many people start out
with a super PIM such as Pocket Informant or Agenda Fusion - both
available from www.handango.com - where you can find other titles that
might interest you.

The Axim is a good unit, you can do just about everything out there that
any other PPC can do (with the right add ons) so the sky's the limit.

It depends on just what you want to do- do you have particular needs? This
will allow others to make recommendations.

look at Pocket Informant. there's a trial available and manuals on the site.
http://www.pocketinformant.com/

What kind of applications are you thinking about? There's all kinds from
shopping lists to picture viewers, ebook readers to calculators, off-line
information readers to start screen diary/to do summaries.

Hardware- must have for me is probably memory expansion- for backups as well
as giving more storage space. Others go for hard (protective) cases, car
chargers, etc. but it really depends on what you want to do.
Some must have GPS, but again it depends on you.
