Hello,

I was recently given a Zire and have been enjoying the move away from my old
daily planner, and the ability to synch with my Outlook is great! Now I am
looking at buying a Pocket PC and have seen several ads for the Dell Axim
and the HP I-Paq, does anyone have good things to say about the Dell?

The Dell seems to be priced better for the features, however I want to have
a stable and strong device, not just a cheaper one.

Any suggestions.

Thanks,

Michael

The Dells are solid units. I had an Axim X5 before I upgraded to an HP 4150. Do you have specific questions?

Why not look through the newsgroup archives for past postings? This will
give you an idea of any issues at least as far as this newsgroup is
concerned otherwise you're relying on who happens to be here at this time.

Sure - I like my Axim x3i. Make sure to go for the X3i though - you
get wifi in it without needing an (expensive) SD card which also takes
up your only expansion slot. Never had any hardware problems, and it's
pretty decent speed at 400mhz. There are faster out there but I dont
consider a PDA a high performance platform anyway lol

When I got it there was a free extra life (1440mah) battery with it, I
think that offer's gone now, but the top tip is to actually ring Dell
and hassle the sales staff to give you the most valuable freebies you
can get out of them - memory card, extra battery, sync cable etc :
Better bet than buying on the web which is what I did,
