Hi all,

I connected my iPAQ h4150 via bluetooth and my Nokia 6310i to my ISP.
I CAN ping IP adresses so I know the connection works.
However, when I try to surf to web pages with Inter Explorer I only get "The
page you are looking for cannot be found".

Any ideas how to resolve this?

(2nd attempt - OP on 13-5, iPAQ/Nokia 6310i internet connection but no web
sites available).

Option.

Hi There

When you ping, do you ping by hostname or by IP address... if you ping by
IP address, can you browes using IP instead of a hostname ??

I have a feeling that you iPAQ is not recieving the DNS server via DHCP
for what ever reason and you may need to configure this manually.

Cheers

Hi

I am having a similar error message on my 4150, follow some of the
replys to my posts (links Below), maybe they will help. It does seem to
be the same issue, we just use a different method of connection.

I got it working!!

Actually I have tried so many things that I am not exactly sure what did
it.....
The 2 most importnat things I changed were these
- In 'Connections' I chose the 'Advaced' TAB en chose 'Select Networks' and
set the first (Programs that automatically connect to the internet should
connect using:) to "Bluetooth settings" instead of My work Network or My
ISP.
- In the connection settings I chose the TAB 'Proxy settings' and I
unchecked the option 'This network uses a proxy server to connect to the
internet'.

Besides that, I first tried to connect to the internet with my iPAQ in the
cradle, i.e. via ActiveSync. After the internetpages loaded fine there I
made above modifications and now it works!

Thanks for all the tips.
