i have ipaq 4150, built-in memory 64mb! After hard reset there is up to 45mb
free for
storage and programs!

i got memory card and in built memory i keep just esential "must have"
programs, and now free
memory is cca 30mb (15+15), is it ok for permomance?

What is the best value for best perfomance - 45mb? or it doesnt matter 30
or 45?

btw what for u using ipaq "ipaq file store"? its about 2,5mb! can i use it
like normal memory or it
affects permomanse?

Tnx

You can use the free application called CabInstl. You have
to install it on your PPC and the next time you want to install
an app or a game you use that to change the install path.

Please note: some (bad written) programs will not work
properly when you change the path.

by the way: I've found the link to CabInstl.

Yes, that's enough for most apps and games.

There is not a big difference between 45 or 30 mb. But, that means, if an
application
writes into memory during run-time (you don't have to notice that, but any
application
writes into memory), it's better to have as much free memory as possible. So
there is
always enough free memory for display, etc. and even big apps will start.

It's a little bit slower than the normal RAM. But you can save very
important
documents here, and they won't be deleted when you forget to charge the
batteries.
