Archived from groups: microsoft.public.pocketpc (More info?)
I have downloaded and installed PHM registry editor from:-
http/www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
Have already successfully used it to remove a reference in 'settings'
to a picture file that had been previously set as my wall paper which
had been removed.
But I have a question - I am familiar with how to backup the registry
on a Windows desktop PC before editing the registry and of course
System Restore will normally get you back to how you were if you foul
up.....
But how do you do this on a Pocket PC ........or is the only way back
(if you have edited the registry and fouled up)..... preforming a hard
reset (with all the associated hassles of re-installing all your added
programs).
Not really such a big deal if like me you only have a couple of
installed programs and a quick sync will bring back all my diary info.
but I would like to know if this would be the only way back if I cock
up....
Cheers.........
