Dell Axim X30 running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition -

One of the reasons I got a palm was to read e-books while Im on th go. Well,
when I'm reading or doing anything that does not require interent access I
disable the wireless card to conserve battery. Problem Is I constantly get
a message saying "no connection could be found" and I have to click dismiss.
Is there a way to make this go away? I have tried closing all other
programs to make sure that nothing is running in the backgrond that wants an
internet connection, but the message persists.

Thoughts?

Something is definately checking for the wireless connection such as email
.... do you have set to check every X number of minutes.

A few things to check would be to go into activesync on the device then
click Tools>Options and uncheck "use mobile schedule to sync with this pc"
then from that screen tap the Mobile Schedule tab and make sure both sync
times are set to manually. If you've set any additional e-mail accounts on
your device, open pocket outlook and tap on Accounts>Accounts>tap on account
you want to change and when you get to E-mail setup page 4/4 tap Options.
Options page 1/3 has a setting "connect and check for messages ever x
minutes" make sure this is not checked. Hope that helps

Or in your PDA's ActiveSync uncheck to use schedule.
