Pictures by name as default

I have copied several .jpg pictures to my Axim x3i and when I use the WM
2003 picture viewer, the default sort of the pictures is by date. Is there
a way to make the default sort be by name?

Thanks.

Did you look as far as the top right corner of the picture viewer ?

There's a drop-down box which when clicked, sorts by name.
When I exit it, and restart pictures, it *still* remembers that it was
set to sort by name. Is that somehow not working for you ?

No - the drop down list doesn't seem to remember it's last setting. It
always defaults to date. I have soft-reset the unit with no improvement.
Now that you mention it, I did seem to remember it remembering the last
setting. But not anymore. Any ideas?

Something must be wrong then - I've got an X3i and I can't duplicate
your problem. Maybe I set the sort-order, then exited and restarted
the picture viewer and had to set it a second time (without any
intervening soft-reset), but it's definitely sticky (and intended to
be so ;-)

Not if you actually close the app. On my 2215 and X30, if you open Pictures
and change it to Name from the default Date and then hit the X, which
doesn't close the app, when you bring it back it is still in Name. If you
actually close the app, with the memory/running programs screen, or some
other task switcher, like SPB Pocket Plus, and then re-open, it reverts back
to Date. Obviously if you reset, that will close the application, and it
seems that Date is how it comes up.

If you want more picture functionality, I'd go with SPB Imageer or Resco
Photo Viewer.
