Does my ipaq have built-in SMS or not?

I have an iPaq 5550 and in the built-in help it says:

"Send a message to a contact
1. In the contact list, tap and hold the contact...
2. On the pop-up menu tap Send E-mail or Send SMS.."

Also....

On HP's site regarding the ROM update it says the following :

"Inbox:
Clarification of location of SMS inbox
Short messages are not duplicated
SMS messages with alphanumeric address are parsed correctly"

But...

I have estalbished a Bluetooth connection with a phone but I can not
find out how to send an SMS. The pop-up does not give me the option to
send an SMS as stated in the Help above.

Can I send an SMS without using third party software or not?

Please help,
David

Your 5550 has Bluetooth Support. If you have a phone that supports Bluetooth
and have paired the two devices, your iPAQ will be able to send an SMS to
it.

But it would be more comfortable to use a third-party software like mPhone
or Running Voice GSM.

Hello Helio,
I do realize I need a phone. As I said in the original post:

"I have estalbished a Bluetooth connection with a phone but I can not
find out how to send an SMS. The pop-up does not give me the option to
send an SMS as stated in the Help above.

Can I send an SMS without using third party software or not?"

So could you please explain how I do it?

Thanks, David

I have a 5550 and I dont think you can without additional software. I use
easySMS, which is free;
