Seeing nobody can answer my question about Agile Messenger. Can anyone
recommend a messenger similar to it, that will work on a Axim 50?

In case your wondering......agile messenger will not connect with any of
the messengers that it comes with, even MSN, which btw, is pre-installed
on my hand held and does connect.

Well, it would help if you mentioned to which service you wanted to
connect. Obviously it is not the msn service...

Hmm, I have agile messenger on my 5550 and it connects to msn without any
problems. I'm using v.AM-PPC2003-18 version on my device. Check and make
sure you have the latest version and also make sure your device is not
having any connectivity issues.

I use IM+ on my pocket pc. They have a product that works on phones as
well.

You should be able to contact the manufacturer to get it working if it came
preinstalled.

I have kept track of my posts, but nobody gave me a reply as to why,
except one gentleman that said he was having similar problems with a
different pocket pc and program.

Thanks, I'm not having any connectivity problems except for Agile
Messenger. I was thinking it may have been me.

I believe you may have mis-read. I can connect with the pre-installed
MSN messenger, but not with the MSN messenger or any of the others that
come with Agile Messenger.

What is your connection type? If you're using DHCP to config incoming 802.11
IP's then you may have to go into your connection settings and specify your
IP address to something like 192.168.0.65 or if you're connecting VPN then
you may need to enter the same info into your vpn advanced settings under IP
address. I had a similar problem with a network browser. The built in file
manager would see my shares but the 3rd party software would not. After
manually configuring a network IP the problem was solved.

Jm> I mostly use Yahoo Messenger.

Then check on IM+ or Yahoo messenger for ppc

IM+ ( good but not free)

Yahoo messenger (older, but free if still available )
