Does anyone know of some software that can do lan throughput and cable
testing from a pocket pc? I have an Axim X50v and as I do network wiring I
was wondering if I could use this for LAN and cable tests, instead of buying
a Fluke tester.

There are a number of CF nics and some network utilities that would be a
starting place, but don't think you are going to be able to replace a
meter such as the fluke.

In addition, the ppc os i/o is going to limit the capabilities of the
card so that testing throughput would probably reflect the ppc's limits
rather than the cable limits.

It is a great general network tool which will replace a laptop balanced
on a knee in network closets.
