Hello guys, I live in Mexico and I'm in the hunt of a small tablet.
So far my 3 candidates are:

Lenovo A1
1 Ghz A8 CPU, 512MB ram, 16gb storage, 0.3 mpx front camera, 3 mpx rear camera and 7 inch 1024x600 display. This one is about 355 dlls and runs android 2.3.

Acer A100
Tegra 2 CPU, 512mb ram, 8 GB storage, 2 mpx front camera, 5mpx rear camera and the same 7 inch 1024x600 display. It runs android 3.2 and is aprox 345 dllls

Samsun Galaxy player 5
1GHz Hummingbird CPU, 512 ram, 8gb storage, 0.3 mpx front camera, 3.2mpx rear, and a 5 inch 480x800 display. It runs froyo and is about 310 dlls

I'm looking for a decent battery life, good portability and will be using the small tab as a e-reader for pdf manuals, taking notes (evernote), and as a point and shoot camera. So what do you think?? Hope you share your 2 cents. Thanks!!

well from what i see the lenovo is most powerful but i think you should look up some reviews on them. tablets are complicated things one could be more powerful then the other but the other runs smoother and such

I think the ideapas a1 is the least powerfull... I mean, it only has one A8 core, while galaxy player has an A9 core and the iconia a100 has a dual A9 core, also GPU wise the nvidia ULP should be a little better than the one in the galaxy player and a deal better than the ancient one in the A1.
What it makes me consider the lenovo A1 is that it might have the best battery life among the 3, and the stand alone GPS feature, but After seeing the iconia A100 almost 10 dlls cheaper it looks less and less as a valid option.
