How to debug a sanyo cell phone

i have reset my phoneto factory set cleared everything on it took out battery while powered on turned off turned on and it still has saved messages plus battery doesnt stay charged and gets hot what can i do

First, it has saved messages from the network, not on the phone. Second issue, replace the battery.
