Question regarding Samsung Galaxy S3

I live in Canada and I am planning to get the Samsung Galaxy S3 in late June. With some internet research, I discovered that later in the year, Samsung will release an updated version of the S3. Instead of having 1.4Gghz and 1gb of ram, it would have 1.5ghz and 2gb of ram. I am not sure if this is true, and if it is, when would the better version be available?
