LG optimus 3D SD card Issue

so i bought a new LG P920 Optimus 3D, but when i inserted my 8gbSDHC class 4 memory card it isn;t being detected in the handset. itried formatting it to FAT32,exFAT and also NTFS but still doens;t recognise it. the memory card work fine in other phones, nokia 5800 blackberry 8520 and also detects and operated in my card reader. if any one knows of a solution it would be much appriciated P.S. phone is updated to Gingerbread 2.3.5

try inerting the card first and then once restating the mobile. if problem persists try factory resetting the mobile(take backup before you do that!)
