Has anyone successfully found a version of Skype that works in all Android mobiles? It seems they decide which phones are acceptable and which are not and mine falls into the latter category. Quite what business it is of theirs I don't know but it annoys me that it fails to connect if you don't own a phone from a major manufacturers. There's a lot on the Net about hacked older versoins and I've tried ten of them without success.

Any suggestions welcome except the one about changing my phone - it's ideal in every other respect. OK it's Chinese but who wants to be racist about it?

Thanks but they both look like standard versions to me. I'm, in the UK so I doubt Verizon Wireless could do much for me. One of your links lists only phones from the major phone manufacturers and that seems to be the problem. I have the same problem with WhatsApp and it seems both programmes will only recognise certain classes of mobile phone.
