Hi all,

I've been hoping to purchase a new laptop within the next couple of weeks, my main requirements are:

- £750 or under
- Fairly portable (would be carried in a backpack with a 15" Thinkpad)
- Can handle 'most' modern games in medium to high settings (and hopefully manage BF3)
- Strong build quality

A few things to note are I get 10% off Dell (and alienware) products thanks to an Aunt that can give me her discount. I've been looking at the Alienware M11x R3 (i5 version - will upgrade ram afterwards) or an XPS 15 with the i5 option.

Cheers,

Apologies, didn't follow the set out template (see below):

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Portable - I'm at home Mon-Thurs but away most weekends. Would be for weekend gaming/general use.

Like:

Alienware, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Samsung - Good experiences

Dislike:

HP - Poor batteries

UK

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

Not bothered by support as I can do the majority of tasks (work in IT) one year would be nice in case of hardware faults.
