HOW TO UNLOCK 6800 GS from 12 to 16 pipelines??

as the question says. Please keep in mind im a total newb to this thing.

Ya cant, its natively a 12 pipe card, there is no unlocking of it, just overclocking. Thats the difference from it and the GT. The GT is a 16 pipe card that is lower clocked. This is a 12 piper that is clocked higher so the fill rates are overall the same basically but this is cheaper to make (made on a cheaper/smaller wiringi process)

First you need to ignore advice from equally n00b people like Hideout, who didn't even bother to ask you AGP or PCIe, cause he doesn't know better.

Then if and only if it's AGP you need, go to the GURU3D forums are read up about Rivatuner, seeing which cards are most unloackable of the NV40 based AGP cards.

Only the PCIe card are NV42 (thus 12pipe), the AGP are NV40 and some can be unlocked some cannot (some are laser cut).
