Hi!
From the posts I read so far I got the impression that this board is able to unlock certain processors of the XP-family. Is that true or do I have to unlock the CPU manually by closing the L1 bridges

thx!

Yep, right now im running athlong 2700xp (2170 mhz?) with fsb at 192mhz * 12 = 2300mhz ram is synched and im getting really nice benches in sandra. I can also boot with 11.5 * 200fsb and get even better performance but its marginal and hangs my system under load. Right now im knocking on the 3000xp door with this setup and im quite content with that. Not all cpus are able to be unlock. By the way, to increase stability i also bumped the cpu core voltage to 1.775 and max ddr voltage. I also locked the agp to 66.

Actually, your CPU (<b><font color=red>XP2700+</b></font color=red>) is unlocked already. I have XP2100+ is also unlocked and runs on Abit NF7-S. AFAIK, T-Bred cores are unlocked at factory although some (XP2000+ and lower cannot set over 13X multiplier without modifying).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

Stoochie, dude, I don't know if you did this on purpose, but it's spelled ATHLON, not ATHLONG! You seem like you know what you're talking about as far as OC'ing, but what's with the butchering?
