So far I have been unable to unlock the 2 disable cores on the (Callisto) Phenom II 550 using this motherboard. I've selected "Hybrid" and "Auto" in the BIOS, Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker, saved and exited. When my computer reboots it never gets to Windows (XP) but loops through the Gigabyte splash screen and the screen that gives options on how to start (Normal, etc...). Does this indicate that I can never unlock the two disabled cores or are there other options? My understanding was that even if you can't unlock the 2 cores you should still be able to open Windows and see (through CPUID) that the 550 remains the same with 2 cores. Sorry, long question, but thanks for any help!

I'll hunt around a bit - seems to me, a lot of boards require an older BIOS rev to do this, as AMD had a lot of manufaturers disable that capacity in later releases...

My BIOS does have the Advanced Clock Calibration, and that's where you choose Hybrid and Auto. That all you need?
