I want to unlock my XP1700 but there is no multiplier setting in the BIOS of my Gigabyte GA-7VTXE motherboard. Will the setting appear after I've unlocked it? I've got the latest BIOS.
Thanks

i think that when you unlock it, if the motherboard supports it, it will show the setting. but it cant show it unless the option is there...

Right now there is no multiplier setting in the BIOS. So if I do unlock it, the setting will still remain unvisible? Are there any hacks that I can try?

Doesn't show it right now (XP is locked right now). Not sure what will happen when I do unlock it.

hmmm...i dont know.
not sure, but i think that even if you unlock it, it will run at normal speed, until you change the multiplier in the bios. so if you unlock it, and it doesnt work, then at least you will be able to run it at normal speed?!?! i dunno for sure.

If I use the jumper, I can switch the FSB from 100 to 133 (no values in between). In the BIOS, I can change the FSB from 133 to 200 with values in between. No multiplier setting in BIOS and no multiplier jumper on motherboard.

I can't confirm this, but to change the FSB and multilpier, on some boards, you actually need to set it from 133Mhz, down to 100Mhz, then reset the FSB in the BIOS to the desired speed
