XP-TMC multipliers?

I just read the article on the XP-TMC multiplier unlocker. I have an 1800+ t-bred unlocked via bridge method, but this method only unlocks the lower multipliers (<12.5).

I hope I didn't miss it in the article, but will this device allow multipliers straight from 5 to 24, or will it give the same result? It might be worth the investment if I can get those multipliers above 12.5.

I think it will allow the higher multipliers. But cutting the fifth L3 bridge on your CPU will save you a lot of money and cooler installing problems and grant you the same result.
