Need help unlocking 2400XP

Hello everyone.

My old 2400Xp shorted a few days ago and I`ve just received the replacement. Problem is it`s one of those whose multiplier is locked and I can`t get it to unlock at all. I`ve tried the wire trick http/www.ocworkbench.com/2002/amd/unlocktbred/unlocktbredp1.htm and had no luck. Is this the correct way of doing it or does anyone know of another way?

If I do the wire trick the system will refuse to boot if I set the multipliers under 8x and anything over that it boots as the default 15x (2400XP) no matter what I set it to (8.5x - 12.5x).

Has anyone heard of Speed-Strip (no it`s not a poker game) and if so will this work on my Epox 8K9A2 (KT400)?
