Ok. When I first got my BFG 6800OC I tried to unlock the pipes, but I got artifacts in games and 3dmark. I was thinking now that since my card is "worn in" would that have and affect on trying this again? Also, since this thing has a 50mhz OC on it, would decreasing the speed back to normal help at all?

Alright. Tried lowering the clock 25mhz and it helped nothing. There where dark and white spekels (snow) in 3dmark and one of my games. I let 3dmark 03 run through and it only piicked up 700 more points in performance. So no go. I have googled around and havnt found anything else or advice on tweaking it. I doubt it, but would a volt increase help?

Looks like the pipes are damaged, unfortunatly it seems your stuck with a 6800 core and no more.

I don't know about a voltage increase - If you have adaquate cooling try it.

do NOT increase the voltage and try again. trust me on this i had this exact card. if your pipes are damaged, they alwys will be, and increasing voltage will lead to permanent damage if you try to enable the pipes at the same time.

Either those 4 pipes are defective or BFG locked them out more than just softlocking them to ensure you done get more than you paid for.

Well,

That took care of that idea, try RMAing for something you are supposed to use ;-)

try leaving the vertex shader closed, (16,5 instead of 16,6) it´worked for me ;)

I've just left it on stock, I dont have the balls to overclock it after destroying my 9800pro. I cant afford to burn another £200 card, im on a budget.
