Unlock e7200

hi guys
I've read in many places that E7200 cpu has locked cache of about 3MB size
is there any way to unlock them? is it even true that it has locked cache?

No. And no - at least not in the sense that it can be unlocked.

The E5200's, New E6500's, and the E7200's are all crippled Wolfdales. They probably either failed speed testing or failed cache testing. So Intel deactivated part of the cache and slowed the FSB freq down to either 200 or 266 MHz.

All three chip families generally overclock like banshees. I have an E6500 and an E7500. They will both run past 4 GHz with what looks to be complete stability (24 hour P95).

so its true that it has locked cache but since they are unstable they are locked, right?
