ok so i have windows xp
and my computer has started to become obsolete
i have an nvidia graphics card
and its processor goes at about 2.19 ghz
with about 1.25 gb ram.
i plan on adding some Ram to the computer eventually but can i unlock another core if there is one?.
ive heard some of the Amd processors have an extra core which you can unlock

Core unlocking may be possible depending on which motherboard and cpu you have. Run CPU-Z and post what you see or take a screenshot. Link below:

You haven't specified what CPU you have, but judging by the rest of your system specs I would guess it's an Athlon 64?

If correct you can't unlock anything, those processors back than were made with only 1 core, it's the newer Athlon II /Phenom II processors that can unlock cores.

I'm afraid that your current cpu has no options for unlocking cores. Considering also you have an OEM motherboard which cannot overclock, I suggest you buy a new system if you really need the performance.
