Talk and text 101?

Hello, I'm looking for a cell phone for my son that will allow him to do talk and text only. I currently have a T-Mobile phone and plan for myself and what kind of like the option to add him for data at some point in the distant future. For now though, he's lost the privilege of having data capability. All I want is a cheap phone with a cheap plan. That seems simple enough but when I go into a store to buy a boring phone, I'm overwhelmed with the options and how many force you into having data. Is there a website or better yet a person here that can explain this in a cell phones for dummies kind of way?

You have T-Mobile and plan on this other phone to also be on T-Mobile? Go to their web site and check on what plans they offer. https/support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-36732 https/www.whistleout.com/CellPhones/News/T-Mobile-Offers-25-Unlimited-Talk-Text-Plan You can get a used unlocked phone and activate it with T-Mobile, any unlocked GSM phone should work.
