I have a galaxy S7 i received a text i opened it and i tried to back out the screen froze,i tried powering down still a froze

Well, once you get it turned off, try starting it back up in "Safe Mode". If it starts up fine, then you can go delete whatever was on the device that should not be. Worst case, you will need to clean it of viruses, malware, or even "Hard Reset" it (but that would be a last resort). Once you have the problem removed, then just restart (turn off and back on) the phone and it should power up normally.

To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. First turn off the phone.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the manufacturers logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or something similar.
