My Next book won't come with new charger. Help!

My Next book tablet will not come on. Haven't used in a few months. How do i check the battery?? Please help.

Test the charger on a different device. If it works fine on the other device, then you know to try replacing the battery. If it doesn't work on the other device either, then new or not the charger may be the problem.
