ZTE Z837VL Power Button Issue's

My ZTE Z837VL gets absolutely no response from phone when power button is held when phone is off. The battery is fine and holding charge well. If I attach power cord it will then turn on and work perfectly fine with no cord attached, the power button works fine then to until I turn it all the way off again, then I need power cord again. How can I fix this, don't want to carry a cord with me every where.

if it will stay on when the battery is in, but won't start up on battery only, it still could be the battery that is the problem. If it is not putting out enough power to start it, which takes more power, but will run it, I would suggest replacing the battery.
