"Palm handsets, Verizon was the exclusive carrier partner with Palm and had hoped to get the Palm Pre and Palm Pre 2 off the ground"...this sounds misleading. The Palm Pre launched as an exclusive with Sprint, which was almost enough to kill it's success there. The Pre2 could be said to have been a Verizon exclusive, partly because Sprint refused to carry anymore of the devices.
