100 x 100 pixel profile photo will not upload

Avatar causes the following problem when I save it to my profile (I edited it down to 100 X 100 pixels, so that's not the problem):
One cannot do cut & paste here?
Anyway, it is "Error 550" and states "problem is with your site at the moment" Not good for a tech site to suffer this humiliation LOL

This is not a solution, just adding that I experienced a similar problem. I even edited my avatar photo to 80x80 and it still won't upload.
