A few years ago I was told by a AT&T engineer that the 5G network would bring high speed internet to rural America. I live in rural America and our internet service if available is "smoke signal" slow. Small towns and rural America have been left behind in the latest and best. Our service for the most part is worst than a third world country. HELP. Was the engineer correct? Or once again will we be left out?

Non-standalone deployments using mmWave are aimed at 28 GHz and 39 GHz, not sure where the mention to 50 GHz comes from. Also many other sub-6 GHz bands such as 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz. Happy to chat any time again about 5G!

Why no mention about the health risks in this article , I have researched the harm that will be caused by these frequencies and the high number of transmitters which will be placed everywhere. Seems advocates of 5G would rather not talk about this . We are going to be living in a giant microwave oven for the sake of faster speeds and virtual goggles.
