Hello,
I have purchased a new htc vive and am experiencing graphic issues with fallout 4 vr. I have a 1080ftw, i7 6700k, and 16gb of 3000mhz ram drr4. Fallout 4 looks very blurry at anything over 5meters away.

TAA is off
Super sampling is at 1.5

Any Ideas or is the just the way the game runs?

It runs well for me now, but I think being able to spot enemies far away is limited due to the screen door effect of the headset's screen. FO4 VR would be so much better if the NPCs didn't look like 12yr old kids to. Then there is the issue that video cards are not ready for serious VR games like FO4. My 7700K, 16gigs ram, 1080ti 11GB sees a little lag here and there...

It's Bethesda. Give them about 6 months to a year to figure it out. When the game first released it tried to run the game on the Vive at the resolution of your desktop. It was horrible and makes you wonder what kind of DEV could mess that up.

Thanks for the response. Figured it had something to do with optimization but I heard some people had it running well.

I love some FO4, but the blur at the distance does annoy... I also get the metal issue... I have a 6700k and a 1080, so the hardware is not an issue... For me, I play the game for fun (on survival mode also). It's hard as hell and punishing, but since I've played the non-VR through on normal and survival, I wanted it to be a challenge...

Now, if raiders one shot me one more time!!! lol

Hopefully an 8k headset will fix the issue.

Check out the FO4VR reddit. You just need to change some ini settings and SteamVR settings and find the right supersampling sweetspot.

FOVR isn't super well optomized but it's definitely not from the screen door effect. Crank up supersampling to like 3.5 and see for yourself (not that you can leave it there).

For a game that I got for free with my Vive, didn't enjoy the story in the first place, and can't stand how the NPCs look like 12yr olds; i'm not going to mess with it much more.
