Help with Music Management for Desktop

hey there,I have a dell xps 8700 i7 4770 3.48ghz w/32g ram win 8.1;my problem is the tower came loaded with Realtek music mangement(Maxxsense)It's disappeared a couple of times in the past yrs(like now)and I always have to call Dell to re-install.Is there a better software program that will do the same thing(free?,5.1 EQ etc.)that's more reliable? Thanks
