Text messages from private phone number

I keep receiving unwanted, malicious texts on my IPhone and while there is a phone number that is attached to it, when I try to look it up in a search engine, it comes back as private. When I call it back there is a voicemail that says something like, “It’s good to hear from you just leave me a message”. They are definitely harassing text messages and would say, borderline threatening. Is there a way I can find out who is behind these texts? Thank you

Contact the police, and possibly your phone company.

Or just block the number.
