How do I get my old phone contacts back

I'm trying to get back my old phone contacts

If they were saved to some cloud storage like your provider or other account, when you logon to that account they will come back. If you had them saved to an SD card, you can copy them from the card again. If you had them saved locally to the phone or on a SIM card you no longer have, they are gone.
