phone has wiped all contacts ,need them back asap

all my contacts have been wiped i would like to know how to get them back please.i have very ill family members and the only way i can contact them is via mobile phone.My phone is samsung j5
i would be very gratefull for any help on retrieving contacts thanks

Only way you can get the contacts is if you had them saved to the cloud, either in your Google or some other account. By default the contacts save to the local storage or SIM card and if you wipe them there, they are gone without you doing anything to back them up. You may be able to sort out who is who from text messages to those numbers, I managed to do that a few times.
