Could anyone tell why are there some phone (especially those feature phones like 3310) can survive in water damage while they are not designed to be waterproof? They automaticallyy turn off when being put in water, and then dramatically survive after they are dried! Water seems really goes inside the phone and the circuit board, wouldn't it short circuit the circuit board?
Why its so amazing? Thanks

Sometimes it's just a matter of what kind of water you drop it in. More contaminated water is more likely to cause a short, while distilled water won't. Of course there are other ways water can damage electronics, but shorting is the big one.
