Got a display in middle of screen when switched on this stops me swiping screen to start

OK So you had been running YouTube. The tablet shouldn't show that if it was actually turned off and not just gone dark due to not being used. I would suggest you turn it completely off and then back on. It should resolve the issue.

If it doesn't, then go into "Settings" and then "Apps". Scroll over to the "ALL" list and then scroll down to "YouTube". Tap it and then tap "Clear Data". Once that is done, again turn off and then back on the tablet and you should be good.

That is really really odd. OK. Lets try seeing if you can start it up in "Safe Mode" which would not allow the app to even attempt to run as "Safe Mode" is a restricted mode. If it will load that way, then you can get into settings and make the changes needed.

To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. First turn off the tablet.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the manufacturers logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or something similar.

4. If you wanted disable it, simply repeat the steps above, and you should see "Safe Mode: OFF" rather than on.
