Need Samsung galaxy S7 restored

I have a samsung galaxy S7 went into a software update got stuck in a glitch.... How can i fix this problem? T-Mobile said can't be fixed so I got galaxy S8 but i would like to know if it can be fixed? Luckily I had insurance but what was weird is that they wanted to charge for the S7 & S8 even though I was due an upgrade.

It may be possible to load a new ROM onto the phone using a computer. Do a search for a stock ROM for your phone for your carrier, there may be one available to download.
