Cracked screen pattern pin won't work

Rca (kit kat) tablet. Screen cracked from corner to the top middle of screen with 3 lines. It turns on. Displays the date and time & the pattern for my pin BUT I can't access it. I tried to reset with reset button. Then I tried the volume up key & power. No luck. Please help. Thanks.

The only way to resolve that would be to get the screen replaced.
