Unlocked phones in Venezuela

What is a good used unlocked phone to purchase for use in Venezuela? I will purchase in the US and ship to a friend in Venezuela. Any brands or models better?

Sorry about the table above but as you can see they cater for all of the main transmission formats for mobile service so you can purchase any unlocked fone in the US and send it to them ... they can purchase a SIM and install it locally.

As to the brand of mobile phone I guess it is up you you in terms of price and features.

Personally I quite like the Samsung 4 and 5 ... but not the 3 or 7 ... based on personal experience.

I have had good results with the OnePlus phones ... and HTE, as well as Motorolla a long time ago ... and Nokia.

If you do not want to go for a full featured Samsung, then consider a cheaper basic Samsung, or perhaps a HTC?
