My tablet Samsung S2 comes on after shutting it off. Like every email it comes back on.

How are you actually shutting it off? Also, have you checked your notification settings in both the tablets "Settings" and in the app you are getting the notifications through?

I ask because if you tablet is set to turn on when certain things occur, that would cause what is happening. Like how some devices, even when turned off, will turn on, or allow to run, and alarm.
