PING
15 ms
DOWNLOAD
60.42 Mbps
UPLOAD
18.84 Mbps
(I believe these are all in megabits, not megabytes.)

These are my stats from Ookla speed test without downloading or anything. What bitrate would be best for me to stream on Twitch? I would like to do 720p60fps but I'm not sure if my upload speed is good enough.

tom you are confusing a megabit with a megabyte

it is not the same

1 megabyte is around 9 megabits

so your 20 megabits are in fact 2 megabytes

most games will play fine with half megabit, you will be fine

the problem is high ping, bad connection, bad internet service, that will give you bad gaming experience and a lot of connection issues

if i can play with 1 megabit, you can play with 60 megabits

most games will work with half megabit

for playing what matters the most is the ping, the lower the better for you

if you have a ping over 150 miliseconds, bad

15, sounds good to me

now, streaming requires usually at least 5 megabits for full hd, so i think you are good there, especially running at hd or lower

5 megabits? I guess I don't understand how bitrate works. I know 2500 bitrate is good, but isn't 2500 bitrate the same as 2500kb/s or 2.5 megabytes? Because my 18 megabits is only around 2 megabytes.
